1. About this application
This policy describes how Valboosh eBay Inventory Sync, operated for the Valboosh eBay seller account, handles information when connected to eBay. It is a private seller inventory and financial reporting tool, not a service offered to other eBay users.
2. Information used
With the seller's permission, the integration may retrieve listing, inventory and transaction information from eBay, such as product titles, public listing references, item prices, sale totals, delivery charges and selling fees. It combines these figures with the seller's purchase costs and other expenses to calculate profit.
Some eBay API responses may include buyer information. The integration is designed to avoid storing buyer names, email addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, tracking numbers and buyer-linked order identifiers in its inventory and profit database.
3. Purpose and use
Information is used for the seller's own stock management, sales accounting and profit reporting. The application does not sell personal information or use it for advertising or buyer profiling.
4. Access, storage and security
The seller's inventory and financial reporting records are held in a private, self-hosted Grist installation. The integration uses eBay OAuth for authorised access. Authorisation credentials required for the connection are stored separately in Cloudflare, with refresh tokens encrypted before storage. Access is restricted to the operator of the integration.
Cloudflare is also used to receive eBay account-deletion notifications. Valid notifications are checked, and the system is designed to retain minimal technical processing records rather than buyer contact details in its notification database.
5. Retention and deletion
Inventory and financial information is retained while needed for stock management, accounting and applicable record-keeping obligations. Records no longer required are deleted or de-identified where appropriate. Any buyer personal information encountered during integration processing should not be retained in the Grist reporting database.
Account-deletion requests received through eBay's notification service are reviewed and acted on as applicable, subject to any relevant legal obligation to retain particular records. The integration does not control information held independently by eBay.
6. Authorisation and your rights
The seller authorises this application through eBay and can revoke its access using eBay's connected-app settings.
